ORIGINS OF ACHI

Achi is a traditional two-player strategy game from Ghana. It belongs to the alignment-games family, close to Three Men's Morris and Tic-Tac-Toe, but with one critical tactical twist: movement.

PHASE 1: DEPLOYMENT

Players take turns placing their 3 pieces on the 9 points of the board. Strategic positioning here determines the flow of the next phase.

PHASE 2: COMBAT

Once all 6 pieces are on the board, players must slide their pieces to adjacent empty spots. The first to align three pieces wins.

Historically played on the ground with stones and sticks, Achi has sharpened the minds of generations. ACHIGAME.COM brings this cultural heritage into the digital age.
